Biographical history
J.D. Guild was an early graduate of the Manitoba Agricultural College and a long-term employee of the Canadian National Railways. Lieutenant Guild was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in 1919 for his bravery during the First World War.
Custodial history
The fonds was donated by Mrs. Josephine White to University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections in 1992.
Scope and content
The fonds is an album of the Chamber of Commerce Tour to Churchill, Manitoba. Photographs include Flin Flon, Gilliam, and Churchill and other interesting insights into early mining in Manitoba. The scrapbook includes some articles that are described in the finding aid.
